AKN Portals
AKN Portals are websites that offer additional tools and resources for users in specific agencies or regions. Any registered AKN user can access data management and exploration tools without going through a portal, but the portals may have more information specific to your agency or region.
Department of Defense AKN Portal
Provides a modern avian data management system approach to foster efficient, cost-effective and resilient conservation outcomes in support of the military mission.
Avian Knowledge Northwest (AKNW)
A regional portal of the Avian Knowledge Network (AKN) and a data-driven decision support system for scientists, natural resource managers, and other individuals interested in advancing bird and habitat conservation in the northwestern United States.
Borderlands Avian Data Center (BADC)
A regional portal of the Avian Knowledge Network (AKN). BADC is a partnership of people and organizations working to improve bird and habitat conservation in the southwestern U.S. and northern Mexico. BADC brings together researchers and managers to coordinate bird-monitoring efforts. It provides a platform for data organization, sharing and coordination of standardized monitoring efforts, as well as data analysis and visualization tools.
Rocky Mountain Avian Data Center (RMADC)
The Rocky Mountain Avian Data Center serves as the portal for avian information collected by the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and collaborators in the Rocky Mountains, Great Plains, and Intermountain West. The Rocky Mountain Avian Data Center also acts as a regional portal of the Avian Knowledge Network (AKN).
Integrated Waterbird Monitoring and Management (IWMM)
A data management portal of the AKN for the Integrated Waterbird Monitoring and Management Program. More about IWMM can be found at https://iwmmprogram.org/.
Federal Avian Data Center (FADC)
A portal of the AKN that provides additional resources for federal agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Ocean Management (BOEM), Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Highways (FHWA), National Park Service (NPS), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), and U.S. Forest Service (USFS).
